NEWSLETTER: JUNE, 2009

Well, it’s camp time again and another letter with a camping spin. If you only knew how much this camp means to these kids! THANKS for making it a reality!

Agua Viva, our camping area, is about eighty miles south of Tijuana, down the beautiful Baja coastline and then inland a few miles. Of course, we’re in Mexico, so the drive starts off a little unsettling, as we drive through a gauntlet of armed soldiers. Military checking each car. Loaded automatic weapons. Black masks. A military Humvee with a machine gun aimed right at you. Oh Joy, the war zone, and I thought I left it in Korea.

No need of much text here. The pictures tell it all. Well, all but the spiritual side, what God is doing in the hearts of these little kids we’re not able to capture by video. Rest assured, the seeds of His Word will bear fruit in the future ... and that’s why we have camp.

Thanks again for helping make all this joy and excitement possible for these kids from poor neighborhoods in Tijuana.

Pastor Von, for all of us working in Tijuana.
