CHECK LIST

YOURSELF AS LEADER:

  1. You are cleared with our calendar and have confirmed.

  2. You are coming down with a significant amount of cash in case of emergency.

  3. You have your communications down. Your cell phone and Walkie-talkies if you need them.

  4. You have proper insurance coverage on your people and your vehicles. Insurance with your group? Check with Beth. Vehicles/Mexican insurance, check website.

  5. You have your drivers set and your vans ready. Remember, you need to confirm your rental vans at least three days in advance. They have a way of changing their minds when you arrive at the counter.

  6. If you are staying for more than one day, you have your Housing confirmed and your food ready. Dormitory?

  7. You have an arrival time. You have taken into consideration what might prevent you from arriving on time. Like traffic on the freeways.

  8. You have water and food for the day.

YOUR KIDS:

  1. Your kids are ready to go. They have their identification and are American citizens. Those who are not citizens are carrying their proper paperwork to return to the USA.

  2. Your kids know what to expect of this trip from start to finish. They have been told the "No No's" of traveling in Mexico. They know they are to be a good testimony. (Read this section and you will know what to expect.)

  3. Your kids will be dressed for the weather. The weather will be the same as the weather in San Diego.

  4. Your girls will be dressed properly! They will not be dressed suggestively. Their dress will be by Mexican barrio definition. Suggestively dressed girls will be seen in Mexico as sluts and prostitutes ... need I say more?

  5. Your Hispanic boys, if any, will be dressed like normal US Boys and not like their gangs. This would provoke ... problems.
