HOW YOU CAN HELP?

We depends, to a large extent, on help from others. From finances and donations to volunteers and prayers! In this way we are a conduit of your love. In this section, and the sections below, you can learn how you may be able to help Spectrum Ministries.

PRAYER PARTNERS: I intentionally placed this at the head of the list of ways in which you can help us. Why? I think it's the most needed gift of all. We need as many people praying for us as possible. Praying for us makes our spiritual work effective! Prayer for us gives us protection in our dark and dangerous world. Prayer keeps us financially in the black. Would you log on as a prayer partner? We'll do our best to appreciate you and keep you informed!!!

VOLUNTEERS: We can always use willing, available and competent volunteers to do office work, maintenance and clothes sorting. Unfortunately, we are not able to house, feed and transport volunteers; consequently, most of our volunteers are local people or those on vacation visiting us with their R.V's.

GIFTS: Small as we are, our vision and need always seem to run ahead of our support. Financial donations from faithful friends and co-partners keep us running. While we don't place an emphasis on soliciting funds, they are always needed. Indeed gifts are appreciated!

DONATIONS: We are dependent on a variety of donations which we take across the border into Mexico. Spectrum is a people oriented ministry and we make it a point not to get sidetracked into logistics. Taking "cargo" across the border is difficult at best. Mexican federal regulations really limit us. What we do take into Mexico must be in good and clean condition. NOTE: No adult clothing or big items like lumber, furniture, mattresses, stoves, etc.

Some items we need:

  1. Good & clean children's clothing. (shoes, socks and underwear too).

  2. Towels. Wash cloths. Ivory soap. Shampoo.

  3. Blankets.

  4. Wrapped candy.

  5. Tools in good condition.

  6. Children's toys in new or good condition, especially at Christmas time.

  7. Marbles, kites, and yo-yos, are used the year around.

  8. Wrist watches. Bicycles.

  9. School supplies (notebooks, pens, pencils, coloring books, etc. No books in English, please).

  10. Used cars, vans or trucks in running condition.
